Basically, in the workflow configuration, you can do things like create a condition based on a project role so that only people from a certain project role can see and therefore enact / use the transition -

Hi @Valerie Knapp I believe you're no answering the OP's question. I'm in the same boat, I would like to figure out in which workflow a certain project role is referenced without having to open/edit all workflows and checking validators/conditions, etc.
Ideally, I'm looking for some SQL (Jira Data Center) that provides this info. been looking around for a couple of hours ...

Hi @Swati_Mathapati , @Luís GÓIS , to see where Project Roles are used, there is a section in the Jira product settings here -
At the top, you can see in which Permission schemes the role is used. Towards the bottom, if the role is used in workflows, you will see that reflected too.
