How to get sub-tasks to appear under stories in Jira Plans

Hello!  I'm having difficulty getting subtasks in my project to appear in Advanced Roadmaps.  I've read similar postings, but their solutions don't seem to apply to me.

In this screenshot, you can see that our user stories appear under their epics, which is great.  However, many of those user stories have sub-tasks which are not appearing.

Here you can see the user story's subtasks:

Here's the hierarchy levels that we have defined:

Here's our exclusion rules (basically none..):

And finally, here are our filters on the view:

When it comes to the issue source, we're using a Board for the source of most of our tickets:

This board contains all of the user stories and sub-tasks:

Any idea why the subtasks aren't appearing under our plans?  I can't seem to figure it out!

Hi @Bret Truchan

My guess is the subtasks don't have all the fields needed available to them. Can you look and see if there are differences between the Epic/Story screens and the subtasks screens?

Thanks,

Tim

Oh wait the filter view on the plan shows Hierarchy From Epic To Story. What happens when you update that to From Epic To Sub-Task?

Glad I was able to help! I have to give you a thumbs up on the amount of detail you provided on your question. Made it easier to figure out the issue.

Just to reiterate Tim's solution:  I had to update the Hierarchy in the filter view to Epic to Sub-Task:

Then the sub-tasks appeared:

Success!
