How to get Jira free plan

Ayah Yousef January 13, 2025

I created my account since 2 months, but I have been automatically directed to a premium version, then the free trial ended and I can't access to the Zephyr again, how I can use the free version of Zephyr?

Hello @Ayah Yousef

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Jira itself can remain free if you have no more than 10 licensed users. If you have more than 10 currently then you need to reduce to fewer than 10 and downgrade your subscription to the Free version.

https://support.atlassian.com/subscriptions-and-billing/docs/manage-your-bill-for-standard-and-premium-plans/#Moving-from-a-paid-plan-to-a-Free-plan

You may have to pay for the time you've been on the Premium subscription in order to downgrade.

Zephyr is a third party app that you can use with Jira. However there are multiple apps that use that name. Which one specifically are you using?

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=zephyr&product=jira&hosting=cloud

Looking at the pricing tab for each Zephyr product they are free only for a 30 day trial. After that you must pay to continue to use them.

So, while you may be able to use Jira itself for free, with less than 10 licensed users, you will not be able to use the Zephyr app for free.
