How to filter the Kanban-board for different customers

Ingela Hagman September 6, 2017
I have a Kanban-board for a webplatform that we build. We have two customers with access to the board but they don't want to see the other customers storys. We have a label for the storys belonging to customer 1 and another for customer 2. So, how do we have to set up the settings in Jira so that each customer just see his own storys with his own label?

Set a label for each story Customer1, Customer2

Afterwards create Quick Filters or use our plugin to do some more advanced filtering.

Do the customers have logins or do they view anonymously? If they have logins you might look at using Issue Security Schemes for this. It would let you set different levels for the customers so they would only be allowed to see their issues.

Thank you for your fast anser. Yes, they have logins. Where do I find Issue Security Schemes?

Not sure which version you are on but here is a link to the documention that is pretty good: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver074/configuring-issue-level-security-881683436.html

Basically just go to Admin > Issues > Issue Security Schemes (all the way near the bottom)

You can setup a scheme and then assign it to your project. I hope this works for you.

If you need a quick fix (until you hash out the Security Scheme) then you could set them up with filters in the meantime (which would filter based on label). Not the best idea, but a good "we're on it" until you've got the Security Schemes running.

Yup, Quick filters would work to let them quickly see only their issues.
