How to edit Field Desc. specific to Field associated only to a Project without affecting Globally

I need to be able to edit the field description to certain fields associated to one Project and also specific to one issue type? Is it possible without affecting globally?  Please advise

Yes, this is possible.

You can change the description for a field and have that new description appear in limited projects (Company Managed projects) by changing the field description in the Field Configuration(s) associated with the project.

Each project has a Field Configuration Scheme comprised of Field Configurations. You can create custom Field Configurations and combine them into a Field Configuration Scheme that you then associate to your project.

The Field Configurations will initially take all field information from the Default Field Configuration. But after you have a uniquely named Field Configuration, changing field descriptions there will affect only the projects where that new Field Configuration is used.

If your projects are currently sharing a Field Configuration Scheme and Field Configurations, then you will need to make a new Field Configuration and Field Configuration Scheme for the one project you want to affect.
