How to drag user story to done when all subtasks are done

I am new to Jira, so this might be a simple question.

I have created a user story and added 2 subtasks under it.

Both the tasks are in Done status, shouldn't the user story also move under done. I have set proper work flows. Do i need to create any automation rules for this ?

Yes, you would typically need an Automation for this but there is an example in the Automation library provided by Atlassian here -

If you click to open the rule, you even have the option to turn it on and test it-

Or you can use this as a baseline and modify it for your specific use case.

Noted!! i changed the swimlane to point to Projects and i can see my user story as a card, but the rule is still not getting executed. Requirement is :

If TASKS & SUBTASKS for a particular user story is in DONE status, THEN move the USER Story automatically to DONE status.

Hi,
The Story is on Status Done I see.
But the Story is not shown as a card on the board but as a swimlane.
In the setting of your Board it is indicated that the Swimlanes are based on the Stories.
This setting is usually used when the work is done on the subtasks and the Status of the Story changes automatically based on the status changes of the subtask(s).
