How to disable the close ticket option from my developers ? Edited

I would like the close ticket option to be available only to the ticket reporter (or administrator) and not the developers.

I'm using the default and basic JIRA Flow.

Can you please advice how this can be done ?

Put a condition on the transition to closed to allow only the reporter or administrator. I would put the Project Admin role.

Thanks a lot. It did the trick !!!!   although it took it a day to get updated.

You could also edit the permissions scheme (be careful if it is defined for more than one project) and allow the close permission to your will
