Hi,

I would like to know, how users from JIRA can be deleted. There are few hundreds of users who have left our organisation. There are many issues assigned/reported by them.An active directory is configured in JIRA for user management.

Does Rest/Script runner can do this?

Hello Sai,

Deleting users is easy IF the users have nothing assigned to them / haven't commented on anything.

In your case, the recommended solution would be to "Deactivate" those users. With this solution, those users comments / tickets will still be there, while the user won't count toward your license. If you'd like to read more about this, please take a look into this page.

Don't delete the users, set them inactive and remove them from all roles and groups. So they can't be used any more and you still have a correct audit trail in your issues. Note inactive users does not count towards you license.
