Hi

I want to  create a rule in Jira Automation Cloud that when I create a certain issue (let say requirement) I can create a set of subtasks like this :

I have managed to create normal subtasks with a rule but when Trying this :

{{issue.parent.summary}} - Testing

{{issue.parent.summary}} - Development

It does not gets the issue parent summary.

I need something like :

1.-Create Issue Requirement name "800001235"

with automated rules I can create subtasks :

800001235 - Testing

800001235 - Development.

Hi and welcome to the Atlassian community

As the automation is run within the scope of the issue created you need to use

{{issue.summary}} - Testing instead of {{issue.parent.summary}} - Testing

All the best
