How to create a subtask in the same status as parent story

Dear all,

I have set up a product backlog kanban board with several columns to be able to groom the backlog. At later stages of the backlog (ready for team), the team should be able to create subtasks for stories in the ready for team column. When they do that, subtasks are created in the very first sandbox column.

How can I create subtasks in the status together where the story or task is? I have automation but also didn't find how to do that with subtasks.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

Well there is one option I like the most.

1) Create self-transition (from and to same status).

2) Add post function create subtask & requested automation or screens to be filled.

3) If your automation plugin request transition subtask to same status as parent. (Workflow had to support this).

BTW: I always I always used to have subtask with different workflow that parent, maybe - consider it. Never had more then 4 statuses with sub-task
