How to create a sprint summary when closing a sprint?

Benjamin van Leeuwen May 15, 2024

Is it possible to create a confluence page with a summary of a sprint when closing the sprint?

I would like to present the stakeholders with a summary of what was accomplished in the sprint. E.g. which bugs stories and tasks were finished what is still in progress or in testing fase and what is moved to the next sprint.

Can such a page be auto generated on sprint completion?

Hi @Benjamin van Leeuwen

Yes, that is possible.  The rule could be triggered on sprint completion, and then the page could be added with the Create Confluence Page action or by calling REST API functions using the Send Web Request action.

The first method would allow using a template.  Please look here to learn more about that: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-82

To learn about the REST API method, please look here at the article by @Esther Strom : https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-articles/Automating-the-creation-of-a-Confluence-page-linked-to-a-Jira/ba-p/1760738

Kind regards,
Bill
