I have a detailed workflow chart set up in one of my project tasks, and I want to replicate it across several other projects without manually recreating it. Is there a way to easily copy or export the workflow and apply it to multiple projects? Any guidance on tools, methods, or best practices would be greatly appreciated!workflow.png

Hi @Ali Yameen and welcome to the community!

This looks like a workflow in a team managed project. If so, you cannot share it across other projects. Configuration of a team managed project is (largely) restricted to that project only.

If you want to share workflows across multiple projects, you would need to use company managed projects instead, as these are designed to share configurations across projects.

This support article may be a good starting point to learn about the differences.

Hope this helps!

@Ali Yameen

Hi there,
In my first year of adminship, I was making detailed workflows too. As I discovered pretty soon, teams wanted to be in control of which status they knew was next for a specific ticket. I then switched to allow all transfers to all statuses.

Looking at the picture of your workflow, it seems you're a bit in-between these two extremes. You really do not need to draw the individual lines between the statuses, as all have the "all" allowed tag.

I agree, you want your teams to have some guidelines along which a ticket normally goes, but that could also be achieved by listing the statuses in the preferred order in the editing menu. You can use the opsbar-sequence property found in the transition properties for that.

Also transition screens can be coupled to the arrows (transitions) between the All-allowed-tag and the status concerned.

Hope this makes sense in your quest towards the perfect workflow,

Dick
