How to check prompts when converting from 1 issue type to another issue type

We created a new issue type which is only local to us and there are some new fields we added.

Afterwards, we need to convert that new issue type to a default initiative issue type.

The issue we are having is that the new fields we have in the new issue type when we convert it, the system does not warn us on any date on new fields.

How can we configure so that system will tell us that when we convert this issue type to another one, if there are data in the new fields, what do you want to do with them?

Hi Sherwin

Sometimes warnings are just warnings and you can still proceed. However a few things. I see you have premium which enables you to have a testing instance. Any changes like this should always be tested before you do them and then you can verify if the issues are warnings

In addition for a case like this I always take a csv export of the issues with data in them so if anything gets lost I can reimport the data

Best,

Clark

Good day!

Can we configure the system that if there were any data on field, before it gets converted and that field is not on the new issue type, to warn the user on what to do first?
