Hi Community,

is there any possibility to configure Jira so that the standard (native) Jira export creates a .docx instead of a .doc?

Due to a company wide compliance rule only .docx are allowed. This will lead to that .doc files won‘t be allowed (can‘t be saved/opened) anymore.

Please let me know if this can be done in Jira and how.

Thanks in advance.

Best
Stefan

Hi @Stefan Salzl this has been an issue for a while for both versions where confluence is exporting as .doc and not .docx.  I don't know of any built in tools that will change the default to save as a .docx. I believe CONFSERVER-38237 is the Data Center version as Atlassian needs to tweek their export process to change the format.

Hope that helps.

Hi @Dan Breyen

thanks for the hint. actually it was about the export of Jira issues.

But as far as I couldn‘t find anything in the admin console nor in the atlassian documentation I fear this is not possible out of the box yet (which I personally find pretty strange).

Stefan
