On a Jira board (Team and company managed) I can assign a task to any Jira user, however Advanced Planning uses teams to plan capacity, not individuals.
When I create a new board is there a way to highlight or indicate who are the team member assigned to that board. Currently I have open the team view and manually assign members to a board who are members of that team. If a user leaves or joins a team I have to update all the boards manually.
Jira boards have Roles for access instead of Teams, is there an automated sync of roles to Teams?
This article describes add team members, not (Jira) Team members, but org team members not defined in Jira :

HI @Adam Bang
This can't be automated.
This a a project can be used for the work multiple teams.
The Teams option in Jira is related to company managed projects based on incident management and or planning.
I think you are mistaking boards and projects. Team managed projects have a single board and a company managed project can have multiple boars.
Users or Groups are assigned to a project and defined a role.
Based on your documentation link, this is granting Jira users access to the single board on a team managed project.
