Hello!
I am trying to create an automation rule that will add to the value of the Story Point field on the parent ticket whenever Story Points are updated on specific related issues.
I'll include a screenshot of the rule I've built. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I'm seeing successes in the audit log but that ticket isn't actually updating with anything.
I was using this article as my starting point:
https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library/sum-up-story-points. Obviously I'm not using the subtask issue type so I'm not sure if that's why the smart value isn't working but thought I'd see if anyone here has any ideas. Thanks in advance for your help!

You can use the proposed templates and you must also take into consideration several use cases such as for example the addition and deletion of a ticket to retrigger your calculation

This solution worked for me! Thanks for calling out the reminder of when a ticket gets deleted the story points won't be updated.
