How to add the start and end date fields in a task in Jira?

Hello,

 

there are no start and end dates in Jira tasks. There are start and end dates in Jira User stories and epics , but not in tasks. 
Is there a way as an admin to add these two custom fields?

Hi @Ioanna Katsanou

Welcome to the Community! If you're in a company managed project you can add the fields to the task issue type by going to project settings-> issues-> screens. Select the screen for the tasks, and add the fields.  If you're using a team managed project you can go to project settings-> Issues-> Select task and add the fields you need,

Hi @Ioanna Katsanou 

You have the option to navigate to the task issue screens and include those fields by following these steps:

-Go to project settings.

-Navigate to screens.

-Click on the screen scheme where the issue type task is associated.

-Select the edit and view operation screen.

-Add those two fields.
