How to add tables in comments ?

Palak Talwar January 28, 2019

Hello everyone ,

In old jira comments  there were a lot of options to add table , preformatted  ruler green ticks (/) , red cross(x)  etc. But in this jira I dont see these options.

Can someone please tell  how to add these?

P.S: This screenshot is from old jira.

Hello @Palak Talwar,

try: || heading1 || heading2 || and then push Enter and you will get a table.

Let me know if that helps.

Best regards,

Copy Excel cells and Paste directly on Visual instead of Text, it will be copied as table. Check clearly while pasting merged cells.

Hi @Palak Talwar,

To add tables you can use the below format in the comment section.

||Heading 1||Heading 2||
|Col A1|Col A2|

Please change the mode from *Text* to *Visual* then it will show the ticks(/) and cross(x) in the comment section.

Kishore Kumar Gangavath.

This works for me on one project, but not on another for me.

The Field Configuration page shows that both have Wiki Style Renderer selected for the Comments field.

@Palak Talwar , Kindly add |Col A|Col b| also below the headings to work it properly
