Per the image added, I believe you are talking about the card layout of a board, is it correct?
Can you confirm to us if you are using a Classic JIRA project or a Next-gen project?
Using a Classic project, you can easily add the issue type Icon to the board cards by following the steps below:
- Navigate to your project board > click in the three dots icon in the top right corner > Board Settings > Card Layout
- Add the Issue Type field to the board view:
Using a Next-gen Project, it's not possible to change the layout of the cards yet. We have a feature request to implement it here:
- Ability to customize cards in next-gen projects
