Hello,

It is not possible out of the box. If you are on Jira Server/Data Center you could use your custom JavaScript for the purpose. But this solution is not good. It is difficult to support Jira with custom JavaScript.

You could use available add-on on the marketplace. For example,

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/ru.andreymarkelov.atlas.plugins.colorfields/server/overview

It is a free add-on.
