How to Automate Ticket Wise/Filterwise Comment Section for Email????

Hi Community,
I’m currently working on a project where we need to automate the comment sections of tickets based on filters or ticket IDs to provide a streamlined view for our higher management. The goal is to enable quicker insights and decision-making by automatically populating the comment section according to certain criteria or filters. Could anyone share insights, tools, or best practices on how to achieve this automation efficiently? Ideally, it should be flexible enough to integrate with our existing system and allow for real-time updates. Any suggestions on the technical approach, platforms, or frameworks that would make this process smoother? Looking forward to your guidance and recommendations.

Hi @Yash Pradhan 

From what you describe, this is a very specific scenario, even though it is unclear what you mean by "automate the comment sections of tickets..."  Thus it may be better for you to work with your own team members to solve this.

My recommendations are:

  • Clearly identify the problem you are trying to solve.  That is, "why do this?"  Write that down.
  • Consider what this type of reporting / comment update would look like and make a prototype, perhaps drawing it or creating it in a text document
  • Meet with your Jira Site Admin, asking them to help you implement this.
