How put sinonims or change fieldnames of fields in JQL?

Hi,

I'm Working develop JIRA Project and we have made some new fields and change the names/labels in others. So, our problem it's when we try to make a report, because JQL sentences only have the original names. We want make changes to achieve the same names in fileds/labels  and JQL names in order to make reports.

There are no functions for synonyms or field names in JQL or JIRA - a field has a single name and you use that.

You could try the translation stuff, but that will consistently rename a field.

However, if you've created fields with names you can't use, it makes me wonder why you can't simply rename them to be what you actually need?  (This may mess up some saved filters if they use the names explicitly, but won't break anything else)
