How is the Predicted Completion Date and Velocity exactly calculated

Justyna Dietrich August 4, 2013

Hi all,

as you can see from the title, I am trying to figure out how the above figures are exactly calculated in the Version Report.

I could not find exact definitions, and it also does not make quite sense to me. In one definition it says that velocity is calculated as the average from prior sprints. But somewhere else it says, it takes the daily velocity. So how is that possible, then?

Also, what is the excat formula for the predicted completion date?

An answer to that would be greatly appreciated, as I am trying to find appropriate reports for our oranization.

Many thanks in advance and best regards,

Justyna

I am also wondering why it says that I should provide an answer to my own question? (Possibly weird question, but sorry, am a newbie...)
