How does a Jira Cloud site admin change user email address

Deleted user April 28, 2017

Hi,

I need to change the email address of a servicedesk user.

How do I do this?

Hi Ann,

Thanks for the reply. They are not a Customer. They are a servicedesk user. They are an agent who answers tickets. They are not in the customer list.

Thanks for letting me know. Based on Invite, edit, and remove users an admin cannot necessarily change a user's email address:

"You can only edit details for your users' accounts if they have managed accounts for a domain that you've verified."

It looks like the user can make the change, though:

As an admin, I have tried to change a user's email, but it says, "This featue is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." The user themselves also cannot change their email address. Is there any way to get an email address changed or is something donw right now?

Please try:

  1. Click on the Service Desk project
  2. Click Customers on the left
  3. Click on the customer on the list
  4. Choose "Administer User" on the left
  5. Choose the Actions button/pulldown over on the right
  6. Click "Edit Details"
