How do you close a Sprint AFTER the Sprint time has elapsed and no longer considered "Active"?

Hi,

I am new to this community and looking for help, any suggestions welcome :)

Normally at end of a Sprint we complete the sprint as normal, start up the new sprint and off we go. However in my absence the team had missed updating the Sprint, so we now have two "Active" sprints in the Backlog and I am wondering how I can close the previous Sprint as no longer Active?

Example:

  • Sprint 1: Duration between 02/03/21 to 22/03/21 - I would like to delete this one.
  • Sprint 2:  Duration between 23/03/21 to 12/04/21 - this one should remain as currently Active and team working on this.

Many Thanks

Tom

Through trial and error i managed to answer my own question - you can switch sprints in the sprint board and "Complete" it like normal :)

I have the same issue working with Jira for teams. Where do I find this sprint board to switch sprints? I see a backlog view which shows only one of the open sprints and the backlog
