How do we change the status on an epic from Review to Closed state as a reporter?

as a reporter i have opened several epics, and all are in review state.

Neither assignee nor reporter is finding an option to close the epics from review to closed.

Workflow shows a state as closed but there is no option.

It only shows to reopen. Please suggest.

Hi @Divya Dubey and welcome to the community,

I would suggest that you speak to a Jira admin about it, since most likely would be the one to edit a workflow.

If you (as assignee and reporter) can't transition an issue (Epic in this situation) from a current status to another then:

• There isn't an active transition from status Review to Close
• There is a transition from status Review to Close but certain conditions prohibits it from transitioning
  • For the above restriction we can't really know if it's a user/role restriction (only a certain user or role can transition the issue) or a field restriction (some field(s) has to be filled in order to proceed)

So the best option you've got is to speak to a Jira admin. If you are a Jira admin, then edit the workflow and try to see what's happening.
