Hi Eric,

You technically cannot make a blank or non-selected Priority Field Value.

Your best bet would be to define a Priority level as "Blank" (or some variation) and then select that as an option when you would prefer the priority level to be empty.

You can define the priorities by going to the User Administration page > JIRA tab > Issue Attributes > Priorities. On this page you may add whatever Priority you like.

I hope this is useful for you.

Cheers,

Miranda

Thanks for your help. I ended up creating a priority called "TBD" and making that the default selection.

I've found that you can select a "None" default field value for custom fields that are a blank value in the menu so I'm not quite sure why the priorities field doesn't allow the same.

Anyway, the "TBD" work-a-round should help resolve the problem.

Thanks again
