How do I move all tickets from Kanban Board to Scrum Board in the same project

Amitava Mallick June 4, 2021

The PM for the project has created the Kanban Board and a number of tickets, not noticing it was Kanban. Now he wants all of the issues on the Kanban to be shifted to the Scrum Board, and the kanban Board be deleted. How do I move all tickets in the same project from one board to another?

Just delete the kanban board.

Boards are not containers for issues, they are a view of a selection of issues.  Issues do not "move between boards", they're not containers.  (Projects are the containers).  If you delete a board, all you're doing is removing a view, the issues it selects will be untouched.

If a board is not showing you some issues, then either the board is set up to select the wrong thing, or the issues have data that the board is not selecting for.  For your scrum board, have a look at what it is selecting for and make your issues match it. (

There are two layers to the selection - the board filter tells it broadly what to select for, and is often a simple "project = X" type filter.  Once a board has that, it will drop out completed issues automatically, and then it will only display issues that are in status that are mapped into a column in the the column configuration.  So go into the board config and check that the filter is getting the right issues and that all the status you might have on them are mapped in the column settings.
