Does anyone know how I can achieve the issue layout configuration shown in the screenshot below, where the "Due date" field is visible and situated inline with the other fields?
When I add Due date via board config in the way I'd expect to do this, it forces the field onto a new line on the issue and displays it under the issue key thus making the issue brick bigger.
Hello @Mike Buma
The image you provided appears to be from a Scrum board for a Team Managed Software project. Is that correct?
Based on your statement about adding the field to the card layout in another board and the data displaying on a new line on the card, I am suspecting that board is for a Company Managed project or based on a Saved Filter. Is that correct?
The feature to show the Due date on the right as shown in your image is available only for Team Managed project boards. It is not possible to generate that display for a board based on a Company Managed project or Saved Filter.
Thanks for this reply! This screenshot isn't from a Team Managed project, we don't use these in our org. However, the screenshot was taken under somewhat uncertain and exceptional circumstances. I didn't include this in the original post to avoid muddying the waters, but the screenshot came from one of our users who observed this behaviour on their board as a result of what they called "Jira gremlins" (i.e., it just showed up with seemingly no one making any config changes). The user happened to take the screenshot to recommend this view to another team for their board, only to find that the next day their own view had reverted back to normal.
Both teams like the view conveyed in the screenshot and have requested that we go back to it somehow, but based on what you're saying this won't be possible for our Company Managed projects.
This all seems bizarre and unlikely, but I guess I don't know how to explain it other than through a temporary bug that Atlassian corrected or somehow fixed itself. We have very few project Admins on the relevant board, and all of them claim to not have made any changes to their board or project config.

It is possible that Atlassian deployed and reverted some change.

Hi @Mike Buma and @Trudy Claspill
This feature of highlighting the Due Date in the backlog / list views:
I recall seeing other posts seeming to indicate this was related to other UX changes that are in-progress of rolling out, but could not find it specifically named in the weekly release blog.
Kind regards,
Bill

Ah, okay, that all makes sense. Thanks @Bill Sheboy seems like the mystery is solved! I guess we'll wait for the official rollout of the upcoming UX changes and set up this view when these are live.
