I had the view attached below for my backlog, but a couple days later, the view disappeared. How do I get this view back? It was extremely helpful with having it on the same line as the status and priority and also highlighted the dates that were past due and upcoming.
Hi @lisa.hamilton -- Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
The list view is the one which shows Due Dates with color highlighting. This works for company-managed and work management projects, but not for team-managed ones.
When the Due Date is added to the Backlog for a company-managed project, it does not have color highlighting.
You could switch back to the list view, from the left-side navigation, to see the Due Date in that format.
If you are seeing something differently, this could be one of the many Atlassian UX experiments happening. You could check that by contacting their support team.
Kind regards,
Bill
Hi, Bill. Thanks for the reply, but the List View is completely different from the initial view that I posted. It is set up quite differently, and the initial view that I posted was a view from the backlog of my sprint board.

As I also noted, that may be a UX experiment Atlassian is trying or a defect.
I checked the Jira Cloud release blog and did not see this symptom noted as a new / rolling out feature: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/blog
You could work with your Jira Site Admin to contact Atlassian Support to learn what they say: https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/

I found this update in the past weeks on the Jira Cloud release blog. It seems the additional filters in the View Settings feature have been rolling out for a while. I'm not sure if the Due Date filter will return, but hopefully it will.
I know this doesn't exactly help you get the view you're looking for back, but I thought the context might still be helpful.

Welcome to the community.
How does it look now?
Can you share this?
Is there no quick filter enabled?

It just has the standard view with the due date listed below the title of the story, and it is not highlighted in any color. I did not make any changes, and I can't seem to recreate that view. The only quick filter that I have enabled is hiding tickets that are done or cancelled, but I keep this filter on and didn't change it.

Are you using a team managed or company managed project, I suspect a company managed.
On the backlog, select the 3 dots option (top right corner) and select "Configure Board", select "Card Layout"
In the Backlog section, add Due date.
But also make sure that the field due date is visible on the issues, otherwise it has been removed from a screen used by the issue type Story.

That is what I did. See below, but it still isn't the same view as what I had before and the due dates aren't highlighted like they were in my first post.

This is only visible using a team managed project. Did this project migrate to a company managed project?

I checked all the instance I manage and on non or the instance this view can be set on backlog

This is why I was confused. I only had the view for a few days and then it was suddenly gone. Atlassian needs to bring back the view or make it available or whatever needs to be done, but it was very helpful to have them in the location that they were in, and not listed under the title of the stories/tasks, and it was extremely helpful to have them coated in red for past due and other colors for relevance. It was more of a "stacked view", where they were on the same line as the title, status, epic, priority and assignee. It was an easier view.

I randomly had the same view earlier this week and it's gone now too. Also in a company managed project. Was hoping to find a way to get it back too.

This view was restored for me today, and the Due Date filter can now be toggled on and off under View Settings in the Backlog.

How did you get the due date to show in the spot next to the status? When I toggle mine on, it still puts the due date under the title of the issue.

Short answer: You can't fix that. You'll have to wait until the feature is available on your account.
Long answer: Everything under Fields consists of filters provided by Jira, so they each have their own column—like the Due Date field view you're trying to get back. That filter appeared for me again today (callouts in yellow), so it is in line with the title.
The Due Date under the issue title is the custom due date filter (callouts in red) that I created in the Card Layout when configuring the board.
If you're not seeing the Due Date filter (in yellow) under the Fields section, it’s likely because the new update hasn’t finished rolling out to your account. I found information about this update on the Jira Cloud release blog over the past few weeks. It seems the additional filters in the View Settings feature have been gradually rolling out, which explains why these features may appear inconsistently across accounts.
The good news is that the filter/view you're looking for is going to come back. The bad news is that it’s not clear when, or if, it will be permanent. I’m hoping I don’t lose the view again at this point too!
