I have a next-gen project at cloud based JIRA, in which I am able to create new issuetypes with custom icons/avatars.
The problem is that I'm not able to delete any icon/avatar from that issuetype configuration screen.
This is because I have to delete and re-upload icons that are related to a plugin (app) from atlassian.
Can anyone help with that? Thanks in advance!
I don't think that you are able to delete the issue type icons. Once you upload them, even if you are not using them, they will stay there as a possible selection. Although it doesn't state something in the official documentation https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/set-up-issue-types-in-team-managed-projects/ I found no way of deleting it. Perhaps a workaround would be to create a new TMP, configure it and move all issue to the new one.
Thanks Alex, do you know which would be the easiest way to move all my issues to a new project?

This mean that you have to setup the new project before moving the issues. Are you sure you want to do that for a couple of icons?

Yes, I know that I have to create a new project. By the question I meant how to backup and restore issues with a simple method, no winding paths. Anyway, if that's the only way, it might not be a good idea, since I have approx. 5k issues at that project, one more important than the other and I don't want to mess up.
Thank you Alex for your help!
