How do I create a new entity without mandatory fields?

Adi Armoza February 23, 2025

We are integrating between Aikido and Jira - in order to pen a Jira ticket, we need the entity to be without mandatory fields.

Do we need to create a new Jira entity for this or perhaps we can use a current Jira entity and just remove the mandatory fields?

Hi,

the required fields are set up in the field configuration which is link to an issuetype. So you have few option, make the field optional, make sure that the integration fill up the mandatory field, or use another issuetype where the field are not required.

Thanks Mohamed,
I've created a new issue type. The fields that I use are across other issue types. In some of them I want them to be mandatory. Can I make a field optional just for a specific issue type?

Yes of course, you just need to create a new field configuration for this issuetype
