My company is using Jira with company-managed projects and I have admin permissions. The team is getting emails by default when an issue is updated. These appear to be some kind of default automation as they do not show up anywhere I can find in the project settings automation or the global automation. The team would like to see the issue summary in these emails. This would be trivial to add if I could find the notification template. Is it available somewhere for editing, or is it hidden as part of the Jira defaults? I don't want to add my own automation rule and then end up with double emails on every issue update. I have been unable to find any information in the docs about editing these default emails and any help would be appreciated.
@Daniel Nalbach Welcome to the community!
You cannot edit the default notification templates in the Cloud. What you can do is create an automation to send the email that you want and turn off that notification in the Notification scheme for the project.
Adding to this...
There are some change requests around being able to customize outgoing emails in Jira Cloud.

@Derek Fields (RightStar) - I think that makes sense. Disable the default notification, then use automation to substitute my own version. I'll probably try that. Thanks!
