How do I add a project to an existing board?

I understand that this is supposed to be accomplished by editing the filter for the parent board, however when I edit an existing filter to include an additional project, that project's issues are not appearing in my board, yet they do appear in the filter itself.

My process for replicating this is the following:

- Create new board, and during the creation, configure it to reference 2 different projects.

- The new board will show issues from both those projects, as expected.

- Go to Configure Board and edit the filter query to include a 3rd project.

- Save query.

- Refresh board to see no issues from the 3rd project.

There must be some additional step required for a project to appear in a board, on top of it being included in the filter.

Hello @nrowe

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

After editing the board's filter, go to the Configure Board option and look at the Columns page.

If the new project's issues use different statuses than were already in the board, those statuses will show up in the Unmapped Statuses area. Those Statuses will need to be mapped to columns of the board.

There are other possible reasons, but that is the most common. Let us know if that resolves your issue.
