How do I add Bullet Points in canned responses?

I am new to using Jira, and have asked a couple of people I work with but none of them are sure how to make this work either.

I have typed up how I want the canned response to look , but every time I save it in the canned responses it changes the bullet point and removes the indent.

Example:
   How I would like it to look:

Context access is complete.

• Please see the below article as best practices and a place to start:

   How it looks once put into canned response and used:

Context access is complete.

Any help would be appreciated.
