Is there a way to create a sub-task by using `/jira create` ?
If answer is no... how do you handle that without directly creating it through Jira UI ?
Hi @Andres Cifuentes ,
Subtasks have a relationship with parent issues in Jira - a subtask can't be created on its own. The /jira create command won't let you create a subtask right now given that subtasks must belong to a parent issue. Is there a specific way you're envisioning subtask creation would work in the integration?
In order to create a subtask, you do need to open Jira either in the web interface or using the native mobile or macOS apps. Creating subtasks can be done by clicking the "Create subtask" option on issues where subtasks are allowed by the permissions in Jira. We do hear some folks going long periods without actually opening Jira, so I am keen to hear your feedback about how you might envision that working with the integration.
Cheers,

If I had a way to pick the parent issue, that would be ok.
It is very common for us to bring a slack conversation to Jira as a subtask, because it is a part of the necessary work to complete a Story, Task or Bug.
We like Slack integration in dev teams, because Jira UI is so slow, that creating issues from slack becomes a good addition to our workflow

Great, thank you for the context. I've created a Suggestion to capture the request for adding subtypes in the Slack integration. You can view the suggestion issue and vote/watch/comment on it here: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/API-398
