Hi @Neil Wills

It's configured at the instance level in Advanced Roadmap configuration.

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/configure-custom-hierarchy-levels-in-advanced-roadmaps/#3.-Associate-the-issue-type-to-your-hierarchy

You will have to create the issue type first in JIRA then create the level and associate issue type to them.

Is there a way to assign the icons then to differentiate Vision versus initiative

Hi @Neil Wills

The hierarchy screen shot in your question was created by me and my team at Twitter and used in Atlassian documentation.

You can assign a different icon to an issue type by editing the issue type and changing the avatar.

Please note, the order listed in the diagram above was using Jira DataCenter Advanced Roadmaps where the Level #'s are listed top to bottom starting with 1, 2, .etc.

My experience with Jira Cloud Premium has the numbers shown in reverse order starting at the top with number 6, then 5 etc. down to 1 which is the Epic level.

I recently added several issue types to our instance and configured the hierarchy as shown in the screen shot below.

@Florian Bonniec or anyone else, can you tell me why Jira Premium Advanced Roadmaps shows the Level #'s beginning with 5 at the top and going down to the Epic Level at 1, which is in reverse order from my previous DataCenter experience?

Thank you,

Joe

Each level in the hierarchy are mapped to an issue type in JIRA. The issue type icon can be updated by your administrator.

Hi @Joe Pursel , yes it's in the reverse order on Cloud, I don't know why.
