I need help to generate report from JIRA to share with the executives to get the correct status of the project, I tried multiple reports like velocity, sprint and burndown report, but nothing helping much.

My ask is to have a timeline view of how project has progressed over time and combined view of EPICs status. I tried Epic Summary, but that for that summary I need to select each Epic at a time, I have almost 50+ Epics for my project, so can I get a Capability wise progress graph along with the status for all the Epics under that category under the same graph ?

Hi, @Dheera Chaturvedi

Based on my experience, the executives want to examine the big picture of the project's progress, focusing on critical Epics and Features.

To provide Epic progress, you have to assess the progress of the issues inside. The best way is to count completed story points every sprint (or week, if that's your case).

We created two apps that can assist you with this task:

  1. Agile Reports and Gadgets - for scaled enterprises (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Less, SoS).
  2. Agile Velocity Chart - for smaller companies with only Scrum teams.

Both of apps give you ability to have Sprint Metrics broken down by any meaningful field you have, especially by Projects and Epics:

So that you can share the progress of your projects and epics with your executives in terms of completed work (and not only):

Is it what you are looking for?

@Dheera Chaturvedi you can create scheduled reports using Analytics & Reports by Screenful. You can add charts to a report using the library of 15+ custom charts and schedule reports to selected recipients.

Hi @Dheera Chaturvedi,

My advice is to create a dashboard in Jira with all the necessary gadgets in-place and then share it with the executives. Dashboards are highly customizeble comparing with reports and have the advantage that you will have everything centralized in one-single page.

Our Great Gadgets app offers all the gadgets you need for creating such dashboards.

Have a look over these articles to see the gadgets that it offers:

For high level epic status, very helpful will be the Pivot Table & Pivot Chart gadget, which shows epics completion.

You could start with a 1-month free trial. If you need any help, please feel free to contact support@stonikbyte.com.

Hope this helps.

@Dheera Chaturvedi Welcome! My first question is what "the executives" wants to see ?

.There are a gadget that can be of your help: 2 Diminutional filter gadget (it is based on your filter)

.There is another gadget that displays the issues opened vs issues resolved

If you create a dashboard, you might view all the gadgets available
