How can I track test cases and reuse them, that are written in Jira sub-tasks?

Our team is not a big fan of Zephyr although we have Zephyr license. We find it really convenient to write test cases in Jira sub-task in BDD/Gherkin format. However, management is very pushy to use zephyr and their argument is that Zephyr is good with tracking, reusability and reporting. We have a lot of test cases that we have written in sub-tasks under each story and we'd now like to reuse these test cases for another project and so, we'd have to go to each story to get the test cases from each sub-task which is very time consuming. Is there a way, we can migrate these test cases under several sub-tasks each containing several scenarios to Zephyr or is there a way we can reuse these sub-tasks for another project and if possible version control with traceability and conveniently be used for reporting? I'm thinking there must be some plugin or a script that can be used. Any thoughts?
