How can I toggle the sub-issues?

Hello, I’m currently using Jira.

I’m categorizing issue types into three levels to improve readability in task management. I’d like to toggle sub-types within their parent types, but I can’t find any relevant settings.

Could you help me with this?

1. Curruent State 

2. Desired State

(My colleague said it might be due to different project types. I'm using a Business project, while the other team is using a Software project. If this is the case, how can I change it?)

I am looking at a business project in my test instance, in the List view and I was able, after creating a child issue like this

to open the Parent to display the child

Is this what you mean?

You could also try adjusting these settings here
