I am using Tempo Structure for project scheduling. I am having the problem that tempo wants to auto schedule the epic instead of letting me set the start date.

Tempo looks like it is truing to pull the start date from JIRA but I think it is reading null due to the fact that I cannot set it right now.

Is there a way to make start date available in the epic card?

Hello @Chris Chattaway

If the Epic has values in fields that you defined as Start & Finish dates of the Gantt chart settings, and it these dates are not being considered on the chart - then it's possible that you have the 'Treat parent issues as groups' option enabled in the settings. This option considers all parent issues (issues that have sub-issues in the structure) to contain to work, and only reflect the work in their sub-issues. All individual data of groups is ignored.
Unselecting this option in the settings should turn the Epic back into a regular task with its dates being used for scheduling.

I hope this helps. If you need further assistance with this, or if you have other questions about Structure - please reach out to us directly at our support portal.

Best regards,
