I have Jira Service Desk (server version). Here is my scenario:
1. Customer enters a request in a Service Desk ProjectA. Issue1 is created in ProjectA.
2. We create a link from Issue1 to Issue2 in ProjectB.
3. We add comments to Issue2 in ProjectB.
4. Using Automation for Jira, I can have the comment in Issue2 copied to Issue1. However, I also want this comment shared with the customer on the request. Right now, it is only shared internally between issues.
Is there a way to do this using Automation for Jira or even Scriptrunner?
@Inayat Nahvi,
You can do that! When configuring your automation rule, expand the section for "More Options" on the comment action and check on the box for Share with customer.
@Kian Stack Mumo Systems thanks. I saw that earlier, but thought that would not apply to projectB, which in my case is a software project, not a service desk project. The customer is attached to projectA, and not projectB. But glad this works!
