I wanted to split a project into phase 1 and 2 and so I duplicated the original board and named them brd1 for phase1 and brd 2 for phase 2.
I deleted the phase 1 stories in brd 2 and left those that are meant for phase 2. In doing so I realized the phase 1 stories got deleted both in brd 1 and brd2
How do I retrieve them? There were about 300 stories. Please help.
Hello @Poppy Pattanayak
Welcome to the community.
Unfortunately, you cannot retrieve deleted issues unless you have a backup that includes them.
Once issues are deleted, they are irrevocably gone. They cannot be retrieved. The information is purged from the live system.
For that reason you should never delete issues, but instead mark them with a status like Cancelled or Obsolete.
For future reference, issues live in Projects, not in Boards. Boards are just a method to view and manage the issues that exist in Projects. If you want to change the issue that display on a board, and you are using Classic projects, then you change the filter of the board. If you are using Next Gen projects you don't have the option to modify the board filter, but you can create additional boards that view the data in the same project based on a saved filter.
Hi @Poppy Pattanayak ,
There is no way to restore deleted issues in Jira Cloud. For that reason, we developed Restore Deleted Issues marketplace app. It allows you to restore issues which are deleted after installation of the app.
