How can I keep track of sub tasks of a story that has been moved to another epic?

Hi team,

Here is the scenario:

  • Epics = Project phases
  • Stories = Pilot users
  • Subtasks of stories = tasks + issues

Question: I will be moving Stories from 1 epic to another as they advance in their phases and move forward. Will I still be able that the tasks and issues of that story happened on a precedent phase (epic)?

The goal is to track what blocked/prevented the pilot user to move from Phase 1 (Epic 1 ) to Phase 2 (Epic 2) for future analysis.

Thanks

Hi @Leire MERINO

Welcome to the community.

No you won't be able to as the link between Epic (parent) is  related to its Childs (in your case stories)

The sub-tasks have their relations with the story as this is also a parent - child relation.

So breaking the parent - child between Epic and Story will break the hierarchy from Epic down to the sub-task level.
