I'm trying to filter the issue list using the "Reporter" field to view issues reported by a specific user. However, I am unable to find the user I need in the "Reporter" filter dropdown or selection options. What could be the reason for this, and how can I resolve it to include the user in the "Reporter" filter?
Hi Aniket - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Are you a Jira Admin? Or have User Access or Org Admin permissions?
Do you see any users at all for the field? Or just not certain ones? Can you share a screenshot of exactly where you are searching?
Hi John, Thank you for the warm welcome.
I am not a Jira Admin. I can see some users in the "Reporter" field, but the specific user I’m looking(who is working on this project) for isn’t appearing(For example: Aniket). I also tried searching by name, but the result remains the same.
I’ve attached a screenshot of where I’m searching for better clarity.
Looking forward to your guidance!

Did you start typing the name of the user? You might try switching to JQL and try it that way also. But I don't know of a reason that you would see some Reporters and not others on the same project.

Yes, I did start typing the name of the user, but I wasn’t able to find them. I also switched to JQL, but I got the same result.
It’s strange that I can see some Reporters but not others. Additionally, when I click on 'Show Full List,' it doesn’t display any details. This might be a bug in Jira Cloud.
Thanks for your help, and I’ll keep you updated if I find a solution.

What do you mean by "it doesn't display any details"? Can you go to an issue that you know has the reporter you are looking for? What does it show as the Reporter on the issue?

I mean that when I click on 'Show Full List,' no users appear in the list, even though I know there should be some.

Again, what happens if you go to the issue itself. Do you see the reporter's name in the issue?

When I go to the issue itself, I can see the reporter's name there, so it seems to be showing correctly within the issue details. The issue only arises when I try to view or filter using the "Reporter" field in the list.

So the issue you are looking at directly is one of the 98 in the list? Can you scroll down through the 98 and see the Reporter's name?

Yes, here it is.
So, what is your feedback on this situation?

That's weird. I think you need to contact Atlassian Support to see what they say.

I agree, it seems like it might be a deeper issue. I’ll reach out to Atlassian Support and see what they say.
