How can I customize Jira to enable quick search to search in labels also?

Right now quick search does a search in the fields summary, description and comments only. We want it to search in the field label also. How can we customize Jira to do that?

Similar answer can be found here Basically, we cannot customize quick search and the only way to get it is by requesting this with Atlassian as possible improvement feature.
