How Can I add a validator in a transition consisting in a text box asking the reason of the blocking

I have a transition from In progress to blocking status. I would like to add a text box that force the user to record the reason why the issue goes to blocking status.

while in Community your profile clearly reads "Cloud" I just wanted to ask if there is a chance the current setup of yours is "Jira Server"?
From the screenshots this look quite familiar with Jira Server.

If so, with an App you can achieve the goal easily.

In case you could confirm we could check where to go from here and probably offering a solution.

You have the option to add the Field required validator to add in transition.

However, you do not have the option to check what the user may enter in the text field box.

FYI,

You have to add the field first to the respective transition screen and then add the "Field required validator" which would achieve your requirement.
