I want to hide a custom field on create issue screen in JIRA
When i run a script after creation of ticket in Jira, the value of that field is populated and should be displayed on the edit/view issue screen
Is the above scenario possible
In your project configuration, under screens you will find an issue type screen scheme and one or more screen schemes associated to it. These determine which set of screens is being used in your project for the different available issue types.
A screen scheme may contain 3 different screens:
Each screen can have a different configuration. So to implement your scenario, make sure you don't have your custom field on the create screen, run your script to populate the field as you describe and display the field on your view/edit screens.
