Hi @Alex

Hope you are doing well.

  1. Go to Issues.
  2. Find the issue you want to archive, open it, and select More > Archive.
  3. The issue will be archived and instantly hidden from view. All of the subtasks for each issue will be archived.

Note: Archiving an issue is only available in Jira Data Center and Jira Cloud Premium editions. Atlassian has created a very detailed document on this.

Hope this information is helpful.

Cheer,
Mayur

@Alex  for sever archiving an issue is not possible out of the box. You can follow the workaround given in the doc by Atlassian.
