Graphics using just the first list of options in a select list (cascading)

We want to take information just for the first drop-down in a select list (cascading) field.

This is an example where we would like to know just de information from the first drop-down.

Here the grafic where all the second drop-down options are showed.

 

 Is there any way to do it?

One option could be using Select List (single choice) first and then select list (cascading) field. I would like to know if there is a better option to have a solution :).

my solution would be to create a Scriptrunner scripted field to extract the parent option for reporting
